Get to Know Dr. Frances Cavero
Dr. Cavero says that the most rewarding part of her job is having the ability to transform a patient’s personality by removing the source of their pain and restoring their smile. She’s seen people come out of their shells and finally feel comfortable being themselves, and it’s why she’s still passionate about dentistry after practicing for over 25 years.
Why She Became a Dentist
For Dr. Cavero, choosing to go into dentistry felt natural. Her father was an orthodontist, and seeing how much he loved his work and who he served motivated her to follow in his footsteps.
Education
Dr. Cavero attended Loyola University before eventually graduating from the Northwestern University Dental School. Eager to learn something new every single day, she has dedicated her career to expanding her skills and taken several hours of continuing education dedicated to all facets of the profession, including restorative dentistry, tooth extractions, endodontics (root canal treatment), orthodontics, dental implants, and more. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society.
Life Outside of Dentistry
When she isn’t looking after patients, Dr. Cavero likes to spend quality time with her friends and family and stay active by hiking, playing tennis, and traveling.
