Get to Know Dr. Jennifer Williams
Dr. Williams has been changing people’s lives by making them want to smile again for over 30 years. She says that nothing is more fulfilling than watching her patients’ health and confidence transform before her eyes as she empowers them to believe in themselves and achieve whatever goals they have in life.
Why She Became a Dentist
Dr. Williams is proud to say that she has never had a job outside of a dental office! She started as a dental assistant, became an office manager, then a dental hygienist, and finally a dentist. Driven by a passion for oral health and a desire to help people, she loves dentistry because it’s a combination of science and art.
Education
A graduate of Marquette University and the UIC College of Dentistry, Dr. Williams stays on top of the latest breakthroughs in her field through her memberships in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners. A certified Invisalign provider, her experience enables her to take a comprehensive approach to restorative dentistry following orthodontics, offering services such as composite chairside and porcelain veneers.
Believing that dental implants are modern-day miracles for patients with missing teeth, she has also taken many classes focused on All-on-4 dentures, implant-supported overdentures, and single implant restorations.
Life Outside of Dentistry
Growing up on a farm, Dr. Williams spent much of her childhood with a broad collection of animals, including horses, dogs, geese, cows, chickens, and barn cats. Now, she and her husband are kept delightfully busy by their three daughters, two dogs (a dachshund and long-haired chihuahua-Pomeranian), fish, and bird. When she isn’t taking long walks with her dogs or watching her girls play travel soccer, her favorite thing to do is cook. She says that if she didn’t get into dental school, her backup plan was to apply to culinary school!
